Spider-Man 3 opens on May 4, 2007, this third installment stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. The plot of Spider-Man 3 is just as great as the last 2 movies. If you remember in the last movie, Mary Jane was getting married but she left her groom to be to be by Peter’s side. This installments find them together and in a perfect relationship as well as he continues his role as responsibilities as Spider-Man. He is having a great life at this point, the city of New York has come to accepting him as a crime fighter and he is also owner of the paper Daily Bugle.
But like any great movie you have to find problems and this one finally has Spider-Man against a worthy opponent. Enter, Flint Marko he is a criminal who encounters an accident while escaping from jail. This accident rearranges the molecules in his body that turns him into the Sandman. Marko has the ability to turn anybody part into sand.
As Spider-Man, Peter is learning about the Sandman and he uncovers a connection with the Sandman and his Uncle’s death he decides to find the Sandman and put an end to him once and for all. But during an encounter with the Sandman, Spider-Man’s red suit turns black and so does Spider-Man’s personality. The character of Spider-Man and Peter. With this new dark side emerging, Peter begins to cut out the people who care about him even his best friend Harry Osborn who fans remember had found out that his late father was The Goblin, now Harry takes over the role as the New Goblin.
With his relationship on the rocks with Mary Jane as well, Peter turns to Gwen Stacy who is his new lab partner. He ends up in a rival of sorts for Gwen with a character named Eddie, who the Sandman has plans for. He turns him into a villain named Venom who does everything that Spider-Man can do (think Bizarro Superman).
In turn this brings Peter and Spiderman back into the hero he once was and now must battle The Sandman and Venom. Peter in the meantime regains his relationship with Mary Jane. His friend Harry blames Spider-Man for the death of his father and he sets his sights on revenge as well.
This sounds like a great movie and critics are calling it the blockbuster of the season. It has an all star cast with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Thomas Haden Church, you will remember him from TV shows like Wings and Ned and Stacey. Topher Grace from That 70’s Show, Bryce Dallas Howard, she is the daughter of director and actor Ron Howard from Happy Days and Theresa Russell, Cliff Robertson and Joe Manganiello.
There are so many great actors in this movie and the plot is well written and sounds jam packed with adventure, it has good guys, bad guys and a little romance. We cannot wait until this movie comes out.
